I recently got to look over a van norman milling machine model 22-L. Just curious about these machines if they are good bad or indiffernt. This particular machine was in ok shape not much wear and most of it was tight with little to no slop in the wheels. It appears that it is both a vertical or horizontal machine depending on how you tip the head.

The van Norman sold for $550 and the K&T sold for $400. I decided to pass on both of them. I'm sure I'll regret it later, but for now, I'm 3300lbs lighter. Both mills were in full working order when they were pulled out of production (atleast acording to the auction bill.) Hell, I almost boughtthe cnc listed below as it only sold for $1050.
